Tenancy Law Changes
At Sash & Gable Property Management, we are committed to staying current with our education surrounding legislation and ensuring our landlords and tenants know the changes and how they can affect their investment property and or tenancy.
Last month, the Property Management world was greeted with various new amendments to the Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act 2008 (RTRA Act) with regards to rent increases and ending tenancies. Unfortunately, despite no stakeholder, industry, or committee consultation, the Bill passed on the same date. The changes to the law introduced will affect rent increase provisions as well as amending other provisions in the RTRA Act.
