QLD Smoke Alarms Compliance

31st December 2021 is the deadline for QLD Smoke Alarms Compliance.

It's closer than you think, and every rental property in QLD must meet the new smoke alarm legislation by then.

To our valued clients and Landlords, our friends at Checkmate Safety help us understand what is required and how they can help you with your investment property.

Checkmate Safety Smoke Alarm Servicing program is an industry leader and ideal for Home Owners, Real Estate Agents and Landlords.  Their Smoke Alarm Service technicians throughout Queensland are fully competent in all aspects of Smoke Alarm Testing and Replacement (if necessary).

Smoke alarms must be:
👉 In every bedroom of the property
👉 In hallways which connect bedrooms and the rest of the dwelling
👉 In each story of the dwelling
👉 240v mains powered interconnected photoelectric, or
👉 Photoelectric smoke alarms that are powered by a sealed 10-year battery and interconnected between each alarm, meaning that when one alarm goes off, all other alarms are triggered to go off at the same time alerting all tenants of any danger

As of 31st December 2021, smoke alarms need to be installed in every Queensland rental property.  If you have any questions about the new Smoke Alarm Legislation or their Smoke Alarm Servicing Packages please visit www.checkmateupgrades.com
