Enjoying the Bayside

Enjoying the Bayside

A charming suburb, our Bayside precinct is being recognised as the place to be. The critical driver is an overwhelming demand for lifestyle combining seafood, shopping, and the seaside all wrapped up into one.

We caught up with Caitlin, our Property Manager here at Sash & Gable, to find out what she loves the most about where she works and plays.

What’s your favourite part of your day?
My favourite part of the day is the morning. Being up watching the exquisite sunrise and enjoying a long walk with my partner, Josh and our energy buzzing Border Collie - Alfie. Living in Manly West, we have many walking tracks, beachfront walks and dog parks to choose from each day.

These mornings for me, set the tone for the day ahead. Property Management is a fast-paced and often demanding job, so taking the time in the morning to appreciate the beauty around us and prepare for the day is so incredibly important to me.

Tell us more about Alfie?
Having a Border Collie means lots of running and burning off energy, so taking Alfie to our favourite spot at the Lota off-leash dog beach, Devonport Beach, means he gets to run, swim and play with lots of other friendly pups at the same time - a win/win for Mum and Dad!

Another one of our favourite spots is Elanora Dog Park up the top of Wynnum North Esplanade. If Alfie needs an energy release but not so much Mum and Dad, this spot is perfect for letting him off the leash, running around chasing sticks, dogs, birds, people, or whatever catches his eye.

What does it feel like to be part of this community?
Visiting the dog parks every morning reminds me of the warm and friendly community surrounding us. We have got to know so many like-minded locals who appreciate the Bayside as much as we do!

We even had a dog-beach Christmas breakfast in December last year! We all (and the dogs) enjoyed a bacon and egg roll and a glass of cheeky champagne to celebrate the year, forming friendships through our little four-legged companions.

Being local, how does this help you in your role at Sash & Gable?
Living, working, and playing in the Wynnum and surrounding Bayside area is perfect. At Sash & Gable Property, our team are local, meaning we understand the area; we are familiar with past, current and future developments which have certainly proved to be an attraction for our clients.

Tell us more?
One of my favourite things is when we have an interstate Landlord or Tenant either looking to move into the area or has been drawn to us by our community; I can boast about this fantastic area we live in.

When an interstate tenant moves into one of our rental properties, I always give them a list of Sash & Gable’s recommended must-sees and attractions, our favourite cafes, restaurants, activities, and the best places to take your pup!
